The British boxer prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-round fight which will be streamed live on Netflix.
Briton Joshua said he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the pair confronted each other to promote the upcoming boxing match.
Ex two-time world boxing king Anthony Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge mismatch - at Miami's Kaseya Center on December 19th.
Fighter's Mentality
"I plan to damage his features and break his body up. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, declared.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I intend to really want to hurt him. That's my goal."
Respectful Interaction
In spite of such comments, a relaxed Joshua and social media star Paul - usually famous for his showmanship - were respectful and remained civil with each other.
Jake Paul instead targeted former Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian turned down a bout proposal.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, targeted British rival Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul win.
"[Paul] outshines Fury - he showed up," Joshua said.
"I respect him for that."
Serious Opponent
In spite of stating he plans to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake is a credible opponent," he stated.
Jake Paul's Background
Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mostly boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since becoming pro.
He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.
Financial Attraction
Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter is still one of the sport's biggest commercial attractions, regularly earning huge paydays.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28-year-old predicted a knockout win in rounds four or five and asserted he would stop the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly being planned for 2026.
"It will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul said.
Physical Difference
As the two fighters participated in the usual stare-down, with their size difference evident, it drove home just how surprising this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the bout is actually going ahead.
